What is deleted
Everything disappears from the app right away.
- Your account: email address, name, username, bio and public profile. No one can find it in the Community anymore. Your email address stays only on the records you added to the shared catalog that other readers also have (see below).
- Your library: your books, your progress, your ratings and reviews, your reading sessions, your notes and quotes, your goals and your wishlist.
- The book records you added to the shared catalog that no one else has (in their library, their wishlist or their activity), with your email address.
- Your activity, the readers you follow and those who follow you.
- Your referral code.
- The purchases recorded with us and the devices registered for notifications.
What remains
- Your Premium subscription, if active: deleting your account does not cancel it. Taken on the iPhone, cancel it in your iPhone settings (Settings > your name > Subscriptions). Taken on the website, cancel it before deleting your account: on bibliobook.fr, in a browser, Profile > “Delete my account” (or this page, once signed in), the “Manage or cancel my subscription” button appears in the confirmation window.
- The receipts and invoices for your payments, at Apple or Stripe.
- The book records you added to the shared catalog that other readers also have, in their library, their wishlist or their activity (title, author, cover). They contain neither your notes nor your review, but each one keeps your email address, which our host records automatically with the record to show who added it. The app does not display it. When in doubt (if it can’t be checked), a record is kept.
- Your referrals (who referred you, who you referred): they are kept, but your email address and your identifier are replaced in them by a neutral mention. If someone referred you, that referral still counts for them.
- If you signed in with Apple or Google, BiblioBook stays in the list of apps linked to that account: you can remove it in your Apple ID or Google account settings.
- A copy in our host’s (Base44) trash, which no one can view from the app: your account is permanently erased from it after 30 days; the rest stays there until we empty this trash, which we do on request at contact@bibliobook.fr.
How to do it
In the app: Profile, then “Delete my account”, at the very bottom. Or here: sign in with the account to delete, then confirm by typing DELETE.
No longer have access to your account? Write to contact@bibliobook.fr with the account’s email address: we check with you that the request really comes from you, then we delete the account and confirm it to you.
