1.Who is responsible for your data
BiblioBook is published by Ruben Cohen. For any question about your data, write to contact@bibliobook.fr.
The app is available at bibliobook.fr and on the App Store.
2.The data we process
- Account: the email address and name provided by Google or Apple when you sign in. If you choose "Hide My Email" with Apple, we only receive a relay address.
- Profile: display name, avatar, bio, and whether your profile is public.
- Library: the books you add, your progress, notes, quotes, goals, reading sessions and wishlists.
- Social: the accounts you follow and the activity you make public.
- Subscription: the Apple transaction ID and your subscription end date. We never see your payment method.
- Notifications: your device's notification token, if you allow them.
- Advertising: in the iOS app, your Apple advertising identifier (IDFA) if you consent.
3.Why we process it
- To give you access to your account and library (providing the service).
- To manage the Premium subscription and verify purchases with Apple.
- To send you the notifications you have allowed.
- To show ads that fund the free version.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
4.Advertising and tracking (iOS app)
The free version of the app shows ads provided by Google AdMob.
Before any personalised ads, you are asked for two consents: Apple's tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency), then Google's consent form (GDPR). If you decline tracking, you will see non-personalised ads and your advertising identifier is not used for tracking.
You can change your GDPR choice at any time from "Ad choices" in your profile, and the tracking permission in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on your iPhone.

5.Who has access to your data
- Base44, which hosts the app and its database.
- Apple, for sign-in, notifications and subscription billing.
- Google, for Google sign-in and advertising (AdMob).
- Other users, only for what you choose to make public (profile, library, wishlist).
- We do not sell any data.
6.How long
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists.
When you delete your account (Profile, then “Delete my account”, or bibliobook.fr/SupprimerCompte), your account and its data disappear from the app right away: profile, library, notes, sessions, goals, wishlist, the readers you follow and those who follow you, activity, referral code, recorded purchases, devices registered for notifications, and the book records you added to the shared catalog that no one else has (with your email address).
A copy remains in our host’s (Base44) trash, which no one can view from the app: your account is permanently erased from it after 30 days; the rest stays there until we empty this trash, which we do on request at contact@bibliobook.fr.
Also kept: the book records you added to the shared catalog that other readers also have, in their library, their wishlist or their activity (title, author, cover): each one keeps your email address, which our host records automatically with the record to show who added it, and which the app does not display; when in doubt (if it can’t be checked), a record is kept. Your referrals are kept, but your email address and your identifier are replaced in them by a neutral mention; if someone referred you, that referral still counts for them. Finally, payment receipts are kept at Apple or Stripe. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription: cancel it with Apple (iPhone Settings > your name > Subscriptions) or, if you subscribed on the website, from “Manage or cancel my subscription” before deleting your account.
7.Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, object to and port your data.
You can export your library directly in the app, from your profile.
To delete your account: Profile, then “Delete my account”, or bibliobook.fr/SupprimerCompte. To exercise any other right, or if you no longer have access to your account, write to contact@bibliobook.fr. You can also contact the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
8.Minors
BiblioBook is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
